Anyway, Marco... I suppose everyone taking part in this thread acknowledges that your English is pretty much perfect - you're going to score high on the TOEFL if you must take it in order to have the opportunity to study/work in an English-speaking country. That said, I would substitute that "with" with "by" and that "miss" with "misses", even though I suspect that, at least the second one, could have been a little oversight.
Thank you! For the moment I hope to score high in my FCE (less than 3 weeks to go

Anyway, let's change topic: music! I mainly listen to hard rock music and I play both the piano and the bass guitar. What kind of music do you like? Does anyone play an instrument?

Urca, our Marco lost a third person like me!
I think he was so taken by topic than he forgot.
I don't like football and so I said nothing about that. Can we change topic?
Well guys... I don't follow soccer that much during the year... Just in occasions such as World or European Championships.
I agree with you: Juve haven't got a real "top player" to win the Champions (which would be difficult even with a top player) so they had better give it up and concentrate more on the Seria A!
Juve haven't got a "top player", but I think that Barzagli (I love him!), Chiellini, Pirlo, Vidal and Marchisio are next to the definition of "top player".
Yes, I totally agree! Barzagli is awesome! He never miss a ball, never makes a mistake! However with "top player" I meant a striker able to finalise something more...
"marcosocio":
@Zero87 This was Anelka's time... What do you think? For me they are overestimating the Champions League: they put all their effort in a competition they have no chance to win and have no energy left for the weekly match. We had already seen this in the match against Milan. Napoli is now becaming more and more dangerous!
I agree with you. I think that it was necessary a great turnover, but perhaps (="forse") nothing would have changed...

- with milito, inter had the best attak
I am not a Milan supporter, but I think that the actual Milan attack is really very good and it is possible that it is the best on Serie A.
"kobeilprofeta":
- juve'll win the serie a, but not the champions
I agree. But I hope that Juve will make the couple.

"kobeilprofeta":
- (very personally) milan, after the italian general elections, will win less than now 'cause if you notice it's winning with a lot of errors, or by the refree, or by the opponents. But it's my opinion.
I think that referees' errors are random: at the end of the season the sum of them will be zero.
Greetings to all. See you on Wednesday (or later)...

I love inter. I hate milan and juventus. Said that, I think that Napoli won't win the Serie A 'cause it's an incostantly club; juve is better. Juve need a very good goleador, these that already it has aren't enough for win the champions league. If they want only serie a, i think that only these may suffice.
About inter, Milito's injury may bring a difficulty to score.

Finally one who agrees!
And I think also it's crazy to have more periods of Latin than Maths...

"marcosocio":
I disagree about Latin dismissal in the Scientific High School. It is a subject that,
IMHO, helps a lot students develop analytical and reasoning skills, roughly to the same extent as Math.
I would understand if it was a mnemonic subject, but it is not.
I partly agree with you: I think what you said can be applied to the first two years, when you learn the grammar. Then, when you start studying literature, I don't find it useful anymore: it becomes a subject like all the others and could be easily avoided in a scientific school.
You got it right. We get along pretty much with each other, as I find studying Latin literature useless and boring too.
"Camillo":
@ marcosocio
It means you don't like Philosophy, right ?
You are certainly not the only one who dislikes ( too strong ?) Philosophy in the Lyceum .
This surprises me, and I am curious : why you don't appreciate the subject ?
I think that in the Lyceum (scientific ) Latin could be dismissed but not Philosophy .
Mainly because my teacher is no good at all: he surely has a wide knowledge of the subject but is not able to teach it to us. He's very old and explains in such a way that you can't just follow him! So let's say I don't like the Philosophy I'm learning, but I can see your point because I think too that this subject widens our minds and gives us many different points of view in order to create our own idea of life.

I love them because they are wrote in a lovely (and nice) way and talk about philosophers putting them into their life context. And also, he writes pleasant anecdotes in order to describe their nature.
Pay attention to the past participle of "write": it differs from the simple past "wrote", and is "written".
A similar difference holds for "take": the simple past is "took" and the past participle is "taken".

90 per cent of scientific high school's students think that Latin's absolutly useless. Personally I changed school three years ago, before the change I did latin for one year; aftet that, I began to studying in a scientific-tecnology high school. Sincerely I changed school 'cause I hated, and hate latin but I'm sorry about math's hours less. Tough I hate latin, I believe in other's thoughts and I think that each subject can be very interesting...

Pay attention to the "false friends": actually = veramente (not attualmente)

Sorry guys if I just correct you and don't participate but I'm not very keen on Philosophy

"kobeilprofeta":
Can you advise me some easy video, about the math if it's possible, where I can start understanding something?
I have enjoyed Marcus du Sautoy's The Story of Maths a lot, though I am not sure how easy it can be considered.
I can also suggest you anything subtitled, cartoons if you want something easier. Irish language cartoons subtitled in English and Portuguese language cartoons subtitled in Italian helped me very much to start to learn those two languages.

No, I don't. I've never heard something about... What about?

No, I haven't. During High School I hate English literature...

I have been studying a lot of philosophers, from Aristotele and Platone to Kant.
I like very much De Crescenzo's books about philosophy. Do you know them?
