Well, I'm reading Alice's tale (an adaptetion for kids), is a wonderfull book!
Are there any users who read (pronounced us/like? red colour) this tale?

It really depends on the experience one had : for me American English is easier, while the most difficult is how it is spoken by Scottish people
I hope I'll be a scientist and the only relief I could get from Catullo if I suffered for love is knowing that centuries ago people already suffered for the same things, but I don't know how this would help!

Yes you may be right but that isn't the aim for which I chose that school. Of course I don't think that studying humanities is useless at all, but in a scientific school I would expect something more... scientific!

I think it isn't crazy to have more periods of Italian and Latin than of Maths and Phisics (Vittorio, he is thinking different).
Italian is your language and you must know it better than you may do. The logical structures present in natural language are the same that we find in the sciences, language and math are human buildings both. I want to study English for thinking another way, I don't want to speak whit British people.

After almost four years in high school I can tell you that in my opinion school subjects should be more diversified according to which school you are attending. For example I'm in the "liceo scientifico" and I think it is crazy to have more periods (hours) of Italian and Latin than of Maths and Physics, and in general three periods of maths per week are just too few! However I think there has been a little improvement with the so called "nuovo ordinamento" but, unfortunately, I'm in the old one.
PS: at least I won't risk the written exam of Physics next year

Pay attention to the past tense because, in English, even if an action concluded two seconds ago we use the past simple.

A Christmas Carol is the last of his works I have read, some years ago because I have been studying and reading almost only about natural and exact sciences for about two years, in order to try to amend some of my worst ignorance.

I have to say that I cannot resist the fascination of Shakespeare. I tremendously loved Macbeth.
As to literature in general, well, I have tended to read disparate things, with a preference for Latin American literature... to quote one name, Eduardo Galeano...

I usually go around with my Sernesi's and read it whenever it is possible, but, when I reach the exercises, I leave it at home, where I can do them more comfortably, and carry some other book with me. I had started the geological regional guide to the Ligurian-Emilian Appennines, but I have stopped for a while to read Homo sapiens by Pievani and Cavalli Sforza, which contains some paleogeographical maps, to get more acquainted with what the world and Italy looked like, at least in the Quaternary.
No literature lately.

It is used to emphasise your sentence. Maybe in Italian could be "sì che l'ho visto". But these are "smallnesses" (= piccolezze ), you'll learn them sooner or later! (For example I was really shocked when I was taught the "inversion", another way to emphasise a sentence switching subject and verb like in questions)
