Stavo cercando di dare uno sguardo per vedere di provare a dare una lettura a "Principles Of Mathematichal Analysis" di W. Rudin, quando, essendo io uno che l'inglese se lo mangia a colazione, pranzo e cena, sono incappato in un "i.e." tra parentesi, più precisamente:
quell'i.e. che significa?
P.S.: perdonate la mia pochezza in inglese
...but assume familiarity with the rational numbers (i.e., the numbers of the form $m/n$....)...

Is the third edition you have ? dated which year ?
Certainly having the same text in English and Italian , it is very useful to learn the language; you should try first with English version and only in few cases get help from the translation .

Non leggevo il topic da parecchio, chiedo scusa se non ho risposto prima.
At this moment I'm not reading it because I'm very very messy with University, but I want as soon as retry to read Rudin's Analysisl
P.S.: I've find also the italian version...I didn't know that there is also tha italian version...I'll read it in both lenguages so I'll MAYBE learn something in english

I find in the dictionary : " exempli gratia " and also " exempli causa " with the meanig " for example " .
