le frasi vanno bene, ti segnalo solo qualche errore ;)
2) in generale, search regge for e non of, per cui è search for treasure.
3) ... That allow them to go along rivers/sail trough rivers. "Return" ha più il significato di "ritornare". Nella seconda parte della frase puoi anche togliere "for certain", oppure sostituirlo con "surely" ;)
4) di nuovo "search for".
7) "conducted" non è sbagliato ma "led" suona forse un po' meglio per il contesto!

1) Vikings came from Scandinavia (e non dal nord dell'Inghilterra ;) )
Per quanto riguarda le altre domande:
2) Hanno attaccato e saccheggiato il monastero del luogo, in cerca di tesori.
3) Le loro navi avevano scafi lunghi e sottili che permettevano loro di risalire i fiumi. Le popolazioni che vivevano all'interno di certo non si aspettavano un attacco proveniente dal mare!
4) Una nuova orda di vichinghi (la più numerosa che sia mai stata messa assieme) sbarca in Inghilterra non solo alla ricerca di tesori, ma con lo scopo di conquistare terra.
7) No, un regno del sud, guidato da Alfred il Grande, si è opposto.
8) 25 anni.
10) Molti di loro si sono assimilati con la popolazione locale.
