This protest by us students are based on avoiding cuts to public school and against the ddl 953 (formerly Aprea) seen as a limitation of our rights. In addition to come together in city squares to shout our dissent, we decided to occupy the Institute, this occupation lasted about a week, blocking the regular school activities which were replaced by alternative courses, like that of art being read etc, which took place from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. led by some students of the fourth and fifth classes.
We often heared people talk about the sixty-eight or protest movements in the 1970s. The input of the student movement was given by the authoritarian character of schools and universities, which welcomed, thanks to mass education, many subscribers, without changing their methods of teaching that dated back to fascism.
Also very important was also the impetus for greater social equity, at a time when the hosts were enriching the workers ' shoulders.
Unfortunately the phenomenon was exploited politically, and generated indirectly the period of the years of lead, because Red Brigades terrorists tried to accomplish so violent social revolution plans espoused by the movement.
This outlet was a terrorist then one of the main causes of the disintegration of the student movement. Certain acquisitions, though, in the educational field or Union, due to that time, remained as an important heritage.
Yet the phenomenon of student protest is not only a historical reminder.
Schools are occupied periodically, although in recent years the character of illegality of occupation has been mitigated by the consensus that the protests have at the same teachers and parents. Even the student strikes, which in reality are not real strikes but participations in exhibitions, which are seen by many as a chance to marinate the school, rather than a political outreach activities, as perhaps would like some nostalgic of parents'.
In conclusion you can still speak, but with a very changed, challenged, although it focuses more on political institutions and against educational and entrepreneurial ones, expressing a radical anti-Americanism, in the name of pacifism that could be called "international" and "no-global".
Even here, though, the distinction is a must, since, while in the 1960s-1970s, the student movement was compact, today the differentiations are more pronounced, and, with the fall of ideologies, non-deployed or the indifferent (if not downright opposed to these movements protesters) represent, in fact, the majority of young people today.
