premendo il consumismo è sempre più forte e le quattro settimane prima di Natale sono ovunque caratterizzate da uno shopping frenetico. a Natale finestre overflow(credo che sia colorate, nn ne sono sicuro) con beni e tutte le strade ed i negozi sono affollati di persone che spendono troppi soldi in regali, vestiti, alberi di Natale e decorazioni. "acquisti dell'ultimo minuto" è oggi una consuetudine molto diffusa e in guglia di spreco di denaro, tempo e di energia, lo shopping di Natale ha un fascino irresistibile, ed è una consuetudine profondamente radicata.

a prescindere da ogni altro aspetto, questa celebrazione religiosa e festa di famiglia, la nascita di Gesù Cristo, è un forte richiamo anche per i credenti più distratto e pigro. la solennità della Messa, la processione dei bambini rituale intorno alla chiesa, la benedizione del presepe, il rito di immissione del modello di Gesù Bambino hanno ancora un fascino unico e di creare un'atmosfera impressionante.
