In my Christmas holidays I did a lot of things: I stayed with my relatives, I did my homework and I went out with my friends.
First of all I made and decorated the Christmas tree with my brother: we hang the lights first, after we put up garlands and ribbons.
At Christmas Eve I went to my uncle and my aunt’s house. We had dinner there. We ate turkey dressed with a tuna sauce, baked potatoes, roast beef and for dessert Mandorlato. “Mandorlato” is a sweet from Cologna Veneta and it is made of almonds, honey, sugar and eggwhite. After dinner we played tombola all together. Later we went to the Midnight Mass, next I exchange the wishes with people.
After that I went home and I fell asleep soon because I was very tired.
On Christmas Day I woke up late. I have breakfast quickly and I unwrap my presents with my family, then I had lunch in my grandparents’ house. I had a lot of time with my cousins. How first course, we ate tortellini. Tortellini are tipically stuffed with a mix of meat or cheese; they are usually served in broth. How second course we eat cotechino with lentils and polenta. “Cotechino” is a typical Christmas dish similar to salami, while “polenta” is a cornmeal boiled into a porridge. For dessert we eat pandoro and panettone. I prefer pandoro, because panettone has candied fruit and raisin which I don’t like.
At New Year’s Eve Day I went to a party in my country with all my friends. We danced, sang and ate a lot.
Together we waited for midnight and congratulated us. Finally we went out to see the fireworks!

Ciao josh. Il testo è abbastanza buono e fondamentalmente devi stare attento a:
- i verbi: se cominci al passato ricordati di tenerlo fino alla fine (ogni tanto ti scappa un presente)
- usi after e later molto spesso... prova a trovare nuove soluzioni :)
- (se posso permettermi di darti un consiglio) cerca di collegare un po' più le frasi tra loro e metterci un po' di "colore" e dettagli, altrimenti, come diceva mia madre, finisce per assomigliare alla "lista della spesa" :)
Per il resto ho cercato di cambiare il meno possibile il tuo testo, riscrivendo magari una possibile alternativa tra parentesi.
