Reading math symbols and formulas in English!
Hi to all,
most of math books that I studied recently were (of course) in English, so it's quite simple to learn the English math dictionary of written words (like "function", "set", "domain", "operator", "derivative", and many others); but if I try to read aloud, I realize that I have NO idea about how to read symbols!
So my question is: is there a pdf, or could you teach me how to say symbols and formulas like:
$x+y$, $x-y$, $x \cdot y$, $x/y$, $ax$, $x_0$, $x_i$, $x_2^2$, $x^y$, $e^y$, $sqrt x$, $x=y$, $x <= y$, $x >= y$, $f(x)$, $dx$, $int_a^b f(x) dx$, $f : A -> B$, $A \subseteq B$, $A \supseteq B$, $A uu B$, $A nn B$, $sum_(k=0)^(+oo) a_k$, .... and many many others?
