Qualcuno bravo in inglese?
Ciao a tutti,di seguito vi riporto un testo in inglese (il riassunto di una storia) non ancora corretto. Sebbene sia complessivamente corretto, sono consapevole della presenza di alcuni errori che però non sono in grado di correggere nel modo più corretto.
Il testo è il seguente, ringrazio in anticipo chi mi risponderà e avrà la pazienza di leggere tutto.
The story begins on a starry night. Ther's a big clock tower in the foreground. The clock says midnight. A owl is perched on a tree's branch and it's illuminated by the fullmoon's light, surrounded by some clouds. There are some houses in front of the street and some lamposts on the sidewalk. Mr Brown is returning at home, drunk, probably after a job's supper going badly.He's staggering on the sidewalk with a bottle in his hand and a strong dizziness. His clothes are disarranged, the shirt is out of the pants and his tie is loosned. Something fallss from his jacket's pocket. It's his key. He stops in front of the doorof one of the houses and he begins rumanging frantily on his pockets, looking for the lost key. He doesn't find it. So he have a lamp of genius. He decides to try to enter in the house from the window. He goes round to the back garden and grabs a yadder.He return in front of the house. He manuevers (non ho trovato nessun altro verbo per manovrare) the yadder with no attention, he steps back wards and strikes a window, breking the glass. The strong noise frightens a cat that was rummanging in the rubbish bin, probably serching for some food. Mr Brown put the yadder against the wall under the window and begins to climb up to reach it. He clims into the window but he relizes to have mistaken house. In that room ther's Mr Rossi that is sleeping soundly. He wake up by the strong noise and, when he sees the silvet of a man into his bedroom in the mean of the night, he frightens and, stunned by the sleep, he turn on the light of his night lamp. The strong light blinds Mr Brown that loses footing and falls back into a puddle, bathing himself completely. Mr Rossi decides to call the police without leaning out to the window. When the police arrives, find Mr Brown lying into the puddle. They think is a homeless so they transport him at the police plant. When they arrive, they find Mr Brown asleep on the backseats of the car.

He enters (climb è proprio arrampicarsi, e arrampicarsi dentro la finestra non ha senso) into the window but he realizes to have mistaken house (non mi convince molto, io metterei: but he realizes that it is the wrong house). In that room there's Mr Rossi who (that si usa per gli oggetti inanimati) is sleeping soundly. He wakes up by the strong noise and, when he sees the silvet (per quello che ne so io non significa nulla...) of a man into his bedroom in the middle of the night, he frightens and, stunned by the sleep, he turns on the light of his night lamp. The strong light blinds Mr Brown that loses his balance and falls back into a puddle, bathing himself completely. Mr Rossi decides to call the police without leaning out to the window. When the policemans (così ti togli il problema della s nel verso dopo) arrive, they find Mr Brown lying into the puddle. They think he is a homeless so they transport him at the police station (perchè plant vuol dire pianta). When they arrive, they find Mr Brown asleep on the backseats of the car.

Grazie mille, in effetti è un errore che commetto spesso. La terza persona in particolar modo la sbaglio sempre. Comunque l'ultima frase ho deciso di farla al presente perchè è il tempo che ho usato in tutto il testo, ma effettivamente sarebbe molto più corretto utilizzare la forma che mi hai suggerito sopra. Per la polizia alla fine metterò il pronome they perchè in effetti si riferisce ad un gruppo più ampio
