The dystopian novel is born as criticism to the modern society, often in anti-totalitarian meaning as in the case of the most famous of all: 1984 of George Orwell. The term points out a contrary of the utopia, that is of the perfect society traced (not with some hint of nightmare) by Thomas More. In the dystopian what mostly counts it is to confuse the protagonist in the environment and in the society in which it stirs, doing so that every action of his is believable inside the frame. In the case of 1984, the falling in love of Winston for Julia is believable because it has an out life and you/he/she is living a sort of internal resistance. This internal resistance becomes external resistance making to appear the love story as a fit extreme of disobedience to a totalitarian society, that every movement checks. But all departs from the protagonist, from his/her thoughts, from his/her conformation to to a society that denies, but that you/he/she has never discovered to want to fight up to when doesn't absolutely is not come upon in normal things, as to write a diary or to frequent a woman. In the novel distopicos of Orwell in substance to be like her/it master are the normal gestures of rebellion, Winston has not called to complete a destiny, it doesn't make some really heroic gesture: it betrays him for the too enthusiasm or because simply the society in which alive it is so strong that cannot be fought and swept away by an individual.
