1 What was life like when you were young?
Life, when I was young, was pretty different. First of all it was simpler and slower: there were no computers, no Internet and no electric games...kids had few things, if you compare them to the kids of nowadays. But it was not a bad life: we liked our simple, not caotic way of living, even though I have to admit that some more comforts would have been useful.
2 What time did you use to get up when you were is? When I was a kid I had to get up very early in the morning, because I had to go to school and my parents hadn’t a car. So I had to take the bus to reach my school and then to walk for a long stretch.
3 what did you use to do during the day ?And at weekend? During the day I used to stay at home and do my homework. Sometimes I also happened to go to visit my friends and play with them. During the weekends, especially on Sundays, I used to go for a walk or make a trip with my parents out of town.
4 Did you use to buy what you wanted? No, I didn’t. At that time we all had a different “sense of money”: money was little and so we used to put it aside for very important things. Moreover it was difficult for a kid to have money to spend for him/herself.
5 Could you choose your clothes? I wish I could, but the truth is that, above all when you were just a child, your parents –especially your mother- always used to choose what clothes you had to wear. Sometimes it also happened that the clothes you were wearing were not new, but taken from your older brother or sister.
6 Could you practise a hobby or a sport? Well, there were some kids –boys, most of all- that used to practise sports in the afternoon, after school. They used to play football or athletics, or go for a ride on their bicycles, but it was not as frequent as it is nowadays.
7 Did you use to take your own decision or did you have to follow your parents ones?
I had to follow my parents'decision almost in every situation. As life, also families were different back then: kids were just kids and adults used to take every decision at their place, even those regarding them.
