Dopo il film e la serie televisiva ecco il musical che fa rivivere le emozioni e le storie di un gruppo di ragazzi della “Performing Art School” di New York, la celebre scuola che ha formato artisti del calibro. Molto importanti sono le coreografie “scatenate e disordinatamente armoniche” che hanno reso celebre il film.Per capire sino in fondo la ‘fama di Fame’ basta citare un nome, anzi, un luogo: The School of Performing Arts di New York. Ovvero la scuola più famosa del globo in cui gli aspiranti attori, cantanti e ballerini ricevono la migliore preparazione artistica per affrontare la ‘professione’ dello spettacolo.E’ stato proprio questo ambiente ricco di arte e umanità ad ispirare a David De Silva un soggetto cinematografico che nel 1980 ha preso vita nel celebre film diretto da Alan Parker: ‘Fame’. Infatti la pellicola si è rivelata uno dei più grandi successi della cinematografia americana e la colonna sonora uno dei dischi in testa alle classifiche. La storia di questi giovani studenti, l’amore per i mondo dello spettacolo, le vicende umane e sentimentali legate alla loro convivenza, il metodo di studio, il rapporto con gli insegnanti.
