Ciao a tutti..
Ho ancora degli es di inglese che non riesco a fare..
Eccoli:
Rewrite these sentences using the words given.
1. There was only one bowl of food, which had to feed fifteen children. (share)
Fifteen children ..................... one bowl of food.

2. We used to eat all the food, but it was meant to be for the workers. (that)
....................................................................

3. We children never had any supper. (didin't use to)
We children ............................... any supper.

4. "Why don't you speak to your darling child?" my mistress would say. (should)
"You .............................. your darling child".

5. Do you have a memory of swimming in the river?" (remember)
..............................................................

Read the text below. If a line is correct put a tick. If a line has word which should not be there, circle the word.

If you want to improve memory, you need
the daily practise. This does not have to take
a lot of time. But it is important so if you really
want to establish good habits. Memory refers
to the ability of our brains to "hold" the things
we have learned. Short term memory, which is our
ability for to store about five to nine items for a short
time, for example, remembering someone's telephone
number for a minute or so while that we dial it.
If we don't practise some sort of memory "trick"
so as to hold that number in our brains, it will be
unlikely that we will to remember it again.

Un ultima cosa che vi volevo chiedere era questa:
Explain the difference in meaning between these pairs of words:
1. to memorise/to remember
2. souvenir/memory
3. recollection/collection
4. to have a good memory/to remember something well
5. to imagine/to fantasise

Grazie 1000 in anticipo!

Correggo due cosette:

1)number for a minute or so while that we dial it.

2)unlikely that we will to remember it again.

Provvedo a chiudere la domanda poiché era già stata chiusa prima della mia correzione.
