Mi fate il riassunto di questo due paragrafo in inglese? Grz in anticipo, ecco:

1)Henry II was the first king of the Plantagenet dynasty, Kings of France and England. His reign (1154-89) was successful in bringing order and stability. To avoid civil wars, he needed to reduce the power of the barons and wanted professional soldiers (ercenaries) to do this. Many knights did not want to leave their farms for long military compaigns, so they were happy to pay a tax called 'scutage' instead of giving military service themselves.
Henry sent out judges who gave 'royal justice' as they travelled round the country. The law administered by these travelling judges became know as 'Common Law', beacause it was used everywhere. In other parts of Europe legal practice was based on the Civil Law of the Church. English lawyers created an entirely different system of law based on custom, comparisons of previous cases and previous decisions. This mixture of experience and custom is the basis of law in England even today. The 'trial by jury' established itself in place of the trial by ordeal.THis was a great step forward when one remembers that a typical ordeal was to put a hot iron on a man's tongue. If the burn mark was still there three days later, he was thought to be guilty. It was argued that God would leave the burn mark on a guilty man's tongue.
