Wales is situated in the west of Great Britain.Its land is mainly mountainous.The agricultural and industrial areas are concentrated in the south. In Wales there are beautiful landscapes,the climate of the coast is mild; therefore many English people move to Wales when they retire. The capital is Cardiff; it is situated in the south on the Bristol Channel. The other two biggest towns are Swaansea and Newport. The official language is English, but also Welsh is used today as the official language. In fact, road sings are bilingual; some TV programmers are in Welsh wich is also taught in schools.The Welsh flag is rapresented by a red dragon on a green background.This flag does not appear in the Union Jack because, when it was created, Wales was already part of England.
