Origine della parola (Hollywood):

Nel 1886, una certa signora Wilcox, moglie di un'agente immobiliare diede il nome Hollywood ad una tenuta nella periferia di Los Angeles.
Il nome che significa (bosco di agrifoglio) fu scelto perché suonava bene, non perché l'agrifoglio era presente nella tenuta, dove erano coltivate piantagioni di limoni e avocado.
